Photo Highlights of Team Ministries in Oaxaca

God has allowed us to coordinate and participate in 8  Youth Fiestas and Conferences in southern Mexico, led by Native Christians since the year 2000. These are exciting and resourceful gatherings for US, Canadian and Mexican Native young people - just have a look!

Zapotec Young people from Lachiguiri Oaxaca gathered to grow in their life in Christ; November 15-17 at Huatulco on the Pacific coast!

God's Spirit ministered to everyone at "Fiesta Juveníl" and 2 young guys gave their heart to Jesus! The owners of the beach shelter also accepted Christ and since have started a weekly Bible Study & Worship meeting!

Zapotec teens made some important life-decisions this fall. Please pray for them as this revival continues to grow in southern Mexico!

The song they sing often says, "The Spirit of God is in this place, He's here to counsel and give liberty; move in me, touch my mind my heart, fill my life with Your love, move in me..."

At "Fiesta Juveníl Huatulco" Zapotec young people from Lachiguiri led worship and it was awesome!

Our teams travel for about 3 weeks overall, to minister with youth and adults in Oaxaca. It´s worth every mile (or kilometer!)

Oaxaca is home to about 6 million Indigenous people, a State of pre-Columbian cultures and history. We learned much about the First Nations of southern Mexico as we travelled and ministered.

The young people who travelled with us were such an example of commitment and integrity. Daniel (L) is now working with Jeremy Seaton on a Video Teaching series for Native pastors! Hector (Middle) is serving with his home Church in Tamazulapan.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:13,14 to "enter my the narrow gate...the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it." It's a blessings to help young people find His way!

Ricky from Jalapa del Marquez accepted Christ at the Youth Fiesta, and was reading his new Bible the next morning on the beach.

"Piikani First Nations Fellowship" from Alberta raised funds and helped build multi-purpose building in Tamazulapan. We spent 10 days in November on site working at this project.

Young people hired a dump truck to take them 2 hours ride down a mountain from Lachiguiri to join the rest of the folks going to "Fiesta Juveníl", 2 more hours on to Huatulco. We were 56 people in 4 vehicles!

"Fútbol" (Soccer)- is the sport of choice in many countries like Mexico. With a $4.95 ball from Wal-Mart, you can make a lot of friends quick!

Centro Biblico Elim in Tamazulapan, Oaxaca is a local Native fellowship. Many Indian people groups in the mountains still have no Gospel witness or established ministry.

Youth meetings on the Pacific beach provide an informal environment to present practical and challenging Christ centered messages. PRAY for the teens to grow mightily now in Christ!
