PHILIPPINES Intercultural Team Returns Home!!
In April and May 3 Native Commission friends shared the Creator's love for Indigenous tribal people, youth, and orphans in the Philippines. There were opportunities for us to learn together, and encourage others through special events.

In Bukidnon, God blessed so many youth!
The Lord worked in all of us! It was awesome to see the response and sincerity of Manobo and Filipino young people. They sing and pray with ALL their heart, worshipping Jesus Christ. Riding in Philippine Army trucks and then walking 3 km we arrived at the Tribal Chief's home, who is also pastor of "Tribes for Christ" church. They youth retreat was held there. We visited, spoke, & prayed with youth attending and it was well worth the trip just to meet more of God's family. "One of our highest values is mentoring young adults in new ministry experiences. Canadian, Mexican, and Filipino Indigenous young adults were also travelling with me and doing a large part of the teaching as we travelled¨ ~Mike Hendricks

230+ Youth and leaders outgrew the small Church...
Overflowing the small church, a tent extension was put up outside, and the "Encountering God Retreat" was a 3 day special blessing! 230 youth and others came together about 50 km in the mountains from Cagayan de Oro. Special honors and greeting messages were shared by Peter (Tlí Cho) from Canada Noe (Mixteco) from Mexico, affirming Native Peoples' role in the Great Commission. At the end, we sang together in huddles, and noone wanted to leave, but back down the mountain in Military Trucks we had to travel, still singing the rain!
